5. "Every word of God
is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
6. Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.
7. "Two things I ask of you, O LORD; do not refuse me before I die:
8. Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.
9. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, `Who is the
LORD?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my
God.
8. The LORD is gracious and
compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
9. The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
10. All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol
you.
11. They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,
12. so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor
of your kingdom.
13. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures
through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and
loving toward all he has made.
14. The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed
down.
15. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper
time.
16. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
31. What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who
can be against us?
32. He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how
will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
