Norwin Alliance Chuch: Youth Ministry Strategy 2003 - 2004 |
The Purpose
Norwin Alliance Youth exists to help the church in the disciplemaking process by focussing on and ministering to the specific needs of teens, working with parents and the whole church to foster maturity and Christ-likeness in our young people.
The Mission
To produce Christ-like teens who have a holistic Christian worldview, including a strong biblical, moral, and theological outlook on life, who are prepared to evangelize, and who have active participation in the church.
The Program
| Summary: In brief, the strategy of the Youth Ministry is to concentrate on three major aspects of the ministry to Youth: the Building aspect, the Equipping aspect, and the Leadership aspect.
Most of what is done in the Youth Group falls under the Building heading. It consists of everything that has the intent of introducing teens to, and strengthening them in, the Christian life. This includes events, Bible Studies, socialization, encouragement groups, and other similar programs.
Equipping: This aspect deals with peer ministry in the Youth Group. Those youth who are mature and who have the desire will be trained and will be given the opportunity to minister. Student leaders may participate in such areas as leading an encouragement group or being part of a youth musical band.
Leadership: The adult leaders in the Youth Group may be profound influencers on a teen's life. A Youth Staff member should seek every opportunity to bring each teen closer to God. |
